Super Typhoon Yagi Hits Hard in Northern Vietnam!
Blue Dragon Children's Foundation is helping clean up the aftermath while rebuilding devastated lives of Vietnamese families.
I had the privilege of participating in a poignant cleanup operation along the Red River, supporting those affected by Super Typhoon Yagi. Joining forces with dedicated Blue Dragon Children's Foundation volunteers, we worked tirelessly to restore dignity to the humblest of homes - tiny shacks ravaged by the storm.

As we cleared away the mud and debris, I was struck by the sheer resilience of these individuals, who had lost nearly everything. Among them was a 103-year-old woman, who had called the riverbank home for 15 years, accompanied by her loyal dog.
But one moment will forever etch itself in my memory. While working on the second house, the neighbor, a widower, begged me to help clear his small room of wet cardboard and restack his carefully collected plastic bottles and cans. Amidst the mud and chaos, I discovered a silver ring and necklace bearing a large studded cross. As I returned these treasures to him, he gifted me the necklace, likely a cherished memento of his late wife.
I was humbled by his kindness and generosity. This necklace has become a powerful symbol of our shared humanity, a reminder of the love, compassion, and resilience that defines us, even in the face of climate-driven devastation.
